Orcs Must Die! Preview and PAX East Hands-On

Let’s just forget for a moment that Romeo Must Die. Okay, okay, bad reference. This Orc slaughtering title brings players everything they love about the zombie feel of CoD, mixed in with a little might and magic. Orcs Must Die! from Robot Entertainment, is a nice blend of strategy and blood shed, giving players only enough time to slay one wave and get ready for the next.

Don’t negotiate with them. Don’t just maim them. You must kill the orcs,”
insisted Patrick Hudson, CEO of Robot Entertainment.

The Rift Fortresses were built in order to stop these blood thirsty, ugly, stench ridden beings from reaching the towns and villages. Take charge of The Order, which stands as the only defense against the Orcs. Slash and slam with The War Mage. Look no further, bro, this hero is not the sharpest sword in the shed, but man-oh-man can he kill an Orc.

Defend against waves of varying Orcs, such as the Crossbow Orc (taller, thinner, and shoots hecka pointy things) or the Orc Warrior (the grunts who just don’t know when to quit).

Stop these angry green beings with items like the Crossbow, or the Floor Spikes. Even take charge of the mythical Elven Archers. Although there are only a few to date, there should be more slayers to come in order to whet your bloody whistle.

*If you just cannot wait for this summer release, then make sure you are attending Pax East. Players who want to get some hands on time with the game can visit the Robot Entertainment at booth 761 to rock out with your orc out.
