The Darkness II Gets Familiar Box
It’s hard sometimes to really get into movies, but more importantly games, when the actors are not the same over a series. Terminator would not be the same if some other bulked up steroid hound repeated the same lines, “I’ll be back.” The same familiarity comes along with games as well. The Darkness is set to couple that same type of revisiting with Mike Patton.
“The story behind The Darkness II wouldn’t be complete or authentic
without the character of The Darkness,” said Christoph Hartmann,
president of 2K.
It was announced today that Mike Patton will be returning for the release of The Darkness II to lend his voice box in the efforts to drive our slithery main character to wits end.
“I’ve read through the script and Jackie is going to be a brutally tortured soul. I’m looking forward to making his life a living hell,” said Mike Patton.
If you played through the first game, it provided a dark and gloomy experience while pistol packin’ alongside your dark powers. Enough power to toss enemies in a single lift. Traveling low to the ground while hiding in the shadows was something unique that 2K had hidden behind this obscure title, although it got mixed reviews, in the end it worked.
The Darkness II will brighten our days sometime in Q4 of 2011.
