Battlefield 3 Set For Fall 2011

No, this is not Bad Company 3, but instead it’s DICE‘s return to the series that has generated a huge success for them. Battlefield 3 has been revealed, and DICE has been nice enough to send over an embedded teaser trailer and box art. Although no screen shots have been distributed yet, we have been told that the game will have a single-player campaign, co-op missions and, of course, competitive multiplayer.

The PC version will support up to 64 players while it’s console counterparts will support 24 . DICE has been hard at work on Battlefield 3, having to cancel Battlefield 1943 and Bad Company 2‘s “Onslaught” mode for the PC due to devoting assets to BF3. They are utilizing their new Frostbite 2 engine to power the game, and is looking to ship the game this Fall on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
