Weekly Round-Up: Atlus Needs your Help

Hello, GT readers. If you’ve been on the site the last couple weeks you may have noticed some coverage on a game called Radiant Historia. If so, you’ll know that the time-hopping game is all about choices. Well, to give gamers even more choice, Atlus is asking fans to vote on the art used for the CD cover and CD holder.

I didn’t want to spill the beans, but I’m hoping choice B wins because it’s actually different from the game box’s cover. Anyway, if you’re not into democracy and voting, get ready for what looks to be a great RPG releasing on Feb. 22. I may actually be more interested in the piano tunes by Yoko Shimomura (the composer behind the music in Parasite Eve, Kingdom Hearts and countless other titles). Voting is open until Jan. 28.

Now let’s check out the news of the week.

The truth:

More Final Fantasy XIII, and more of the ass-kicking Lightning. Exquisite.

I was way late to the party when it came to experiencing the scary thrills of Dead Space, but I’ve been keeping tabs on everything this time. You too should also see the concept art for the iPhone/iPad game, see the new iPhone/iPad game trailer and see the “Ser Isaac of Clarke” armor for Dragon Age II. I was going to wait to purchase Dead Space 2. Not anymore.

Duke Nukem will be kicking ass on May 3.

Gears of War: Exile trademarked…Was ist das? Well, at least we know what the nifty new triple pack is.

We have all the 3DS news. In 3D. OK, I lied.

For the gamer who likes to read: Guinness World Records 2011 Gamer’s Edition. Find out how not awesome you are at your favorite video games compared to these…er, champions of gaming.

Telltale is yet again releasing an adventure game. This time it has to do with dinos

Portal 2 for PlayStation 3 has Steam features, and they seem pretty damn cool. Find out what they are!

The reviews:

We have one review this week, but it’s a doozy of a game. Our reviewer put one positive aspect of the game as “the goddamn Batman.” If it wasn’t for the monthly fee, I’d be sold with just those three words. Check out DC Universe Online and find out if you’ll be fighting foes while wearing tight underpants.

 The goddamn Batman.

Not as intimidating in Lego form, but you get the idea.

That’s if for this week faithful readers. Make sure to peruse our other articles of the week and make sure to hit us up for daily news and musings. Have a good weekend, and get some gaming in. I, in fact, have a date with Monster Hunter Tri this weekend. Dumb monsters.
