Telltale’s Jurassic Park Game Revealed

Coming off of the success of “Back to the Future”, Telltale games has begun to show screen shots and storyline details on their upcoming episodic game to GameInformer. Other companies have tried to turn the movie license into a video game and done more than butcher the license. “Universal didn’t want another dinosaur shooting game,” says Joel Dreskin, Telltale’s director of marketing. “That’s something from their side that interested them in Telltale Games as a partner for the property.”

The development team at Telltale has looked long and hard at the films and plan on following the elaborate story to detail and pace. “As far as pacing goes, there are some things that are useful from the heritage of Telltale, but creating a new experience that pays off on both the slower-paced character building moments and high tension you expect from Jurassic Park is a new direction for Telltale”. The game is expected to launch on PC and undisclosed consoles later this year. The full details can be read in the new Game Informer for February 2011.
