EA and Funcom Co-Publish: The Secret World
Funcom, the creators of ‘Anarchy Online’ and ‘Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures’ announced alongside with EA Partners, that they will be co-publishing The Secret World. The game promises to break the binds of previous MMO’s that “unbind” the game’s characters of leveling up and classes, which are two of the most important things that can be found in MMO’s today. Players can choose from three secret societies: the Illuminati, the Dragon and the Templar.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Funcom, one of the world-leaders in the development of massively multiplayer online games,” says David DeMartini, Senior Vice President and General Manager of EA Partners.
Players will also have the ability to travel to familiar places across the globe, wishing you did not drop out of that geography class last semester, and battle legendary mythical monsters. Areas like Egypt, New England, London, New York and Seoul should provide enough battleground for those looking for some great adventures. The screens already offer what looks to be like some very customizable characters and dually epic battles. Get ready to pour your time and mouse clicks into this adventure.
*The release date is TBA. I know, I know. Teardrop.
