EA Gives Gamers an Early Present with Dead Space 2 Demo
Who ever said that EA doesn’t have any holiday cheer? On December 21st EA will launch a demo of the highly anticipated horror Dead Space 2. The demo will allow players to fight off waves of terrifying Necromorphs as they search the Church of Unitology.
Players should expect to get a taste of some of the newest tools available to Isaac such as the Javelin gun, the updated stasis recharge mechanic, the enhanced telekinesis ability, and the updated suit which is fully equipped with jets and will allow Isaac full 360 degree control while in zero gravity.
“The holidays are a great time to enjoy all forms of entertainment, and we can’t wait to give horror and action adventure gamers a taste of what awaits them in Dead Space 2,” said Steve Papoutsis, Executive Producer of the Dead Space franchise. “Releasing the demo five weeks before launch will not only re-connect players with our hero Isaac Clarke, but will also give them the opportunity to experience firsthand various jaw-dropping scenarios. It’s gonna be awesome.”
The demo will hit both Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store on December 21st. The full retail release will hit store shelves January 25, 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
