Zen Announces Marvel Pinball

Are your pinball senses tingling? It might because of Zen’s Marvel Pinball. Or maybe it’s too much caffeine? No, it’s pinball. Definitely pinball.

Zen Studios has just announced the first major expansion to their well-received, Pinball FX 2, Marvel Pinball. Much like Pinball FX 2, Marvel Pinball will come with four tables packaged in. Every table is alive with action as the heroes and their arch rivals move and fight as you play the game. Which heroes get to star as pinball tables? Here they are:

  • Spider-Man
  • Iron Man
  • Wolverine
  • Blade
  • “We are so honored to work with the greatest Super Heroes of all time, and have really focused our efforts into bringing each distinct personality to this one-of-a-kind pinball experience,” said Zsolt Kigyossy, Managing Director for ZEN Studios. “You will find each Marvel Pinball table captures the essence of each Super Hero, creating a game that is an authentic Marvel experience. This is just the beginning of Marvel Pinball; you can count on more of your favorite Marvel heroes and villains to be making appearances in the near future.”

“With Marvel Pinball, ZEN Studios has created some truly excellent tables that not only demonstrate their expertise in creating an excellent pinball experience, but also their passion for Marvel and its characters,” said TQ Jefferson, Director of Games, Marvel Entertainment’s Global Digital Media Group. “We look forward to working with ZEN for many more tables to come.”

While pinball and Marvel fans are no doubt excited to play table based on their favorite Marvel heroes and Blade, I’m sure that there are some out there who wouldn’t mind The Hulk smashing things up or to see the Fantastic Four in something that doesn’t suck. Well, Zen is giving you that chance. If you head on over to the official website of Marvel Pinball and look on the right-hand side, you can vote for the next hero (or heroes) to be featured as a pinball table. Along with the ones I mentioned, both Ghost Rider and Captain America are a part of the poll as well.

Marvel Pinball is set to hit online stores in December of 2010 on Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network.
