Dead Rising 2: Case Zero Breaks Sales Records
According to Capcom, I’m not the only one who likes bashing zombie heads with bowling balls.
The recently released downloadable title, Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, has broken all records on Xbox Live with the best week one unit sales in the history of all content distributed through Xbox Live Arcade.
Capcom can only hope that Case Zero—the sequel’s Xbox 360 exclusive prologue story—results in strong sales for Dead Rising 2.
The $5 download follows protagonist Chuck Greene and his daughter Katey as they try to escape the town of Still Creek amidst a zombie outbreak and military quarantine. The sequel hits both the 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 28.
I would like to see more cheap downloads like this for games in the future; it’s a good way to give a little snippet of the world and gameplay, however, it’s not for everyone.
