Duke Nukem Forever Lives

Confirming the rumors that Gearbox was to take over from 3DRealms (which shut down last year), 2K has officially announced the return of Duke Nukem Forever. The announcement took place at PAX earlier and it was confirmed that the game has been FINISHED and is completely playable on the PAX floor.

While there is no official release date at the moment, 2K Games is planning on releasing this game on consoles (not Wii) and PC next year.

Stock up on gum.

This news is especially big to me. Duke Nukem 3D was my first shooter I ever played and began my love of fast-paced shooters and action titles. Whether this game will be good or bad is completely immaterial to me; I must own this game.

Long live the King, baby.
