Square-Enix shows you how to Gun Loco

If you have been following Cam’s awsome coverage of Gamescom, you might have overlooked Square-Enix new Xbox 360 exclusive “Gun Loco”. Through all the big Sony announcements of Ratchet and Clank, Resistance 3 and even Dragon Age 2 you may have missed this. First let me paste in Square’s plot elements for “Gun Loco”:

“In Gun Loco, players enter the far edge of the solar system where only the craziest criminals are sent, with no guards, no security and no rules. A collection of the craziest criminals in the universe are incarcerated on a remote prison planet with no walls and forgotten by society. In this long-abandoned world, the only rule is anarchy, as each faction fights in a bloodthirsty race for survival, power and freedom. Through several seven climate zones and numerous stylized maps, players must fight through the ruins of the world’s previous civilizations, taking on each region’s inmates in a frantic and frenetic struggle to survive.”

The trailer reveals how the game will play. It is a sprint-based 3rd person shooter, where you take crazy criminals against each other in a battle to escape the insanity. The trailer looks very promising, and even though the graphics look a little unpolished, this is just a sneak peak for a game that is still a year away. The game does look fun and very promising to say the least, and did I mention……It does look CRAZY?
