Blox from developer imagodespira, is a simple game that can be found in the indie section of Xbox LIVE Arcade. There really isn’t too much to the game. Based on the color coordination on the screen, you push the controller buttons X,Y,B, and A to the block on screen. This will knock the matched color out and combos add for point value.
There are also ticking countdown “blox” that will destroy themselves with any of the other color that it is flashing at the time. The others are bomb blox, which I like to call these, “suicide bomber blocks.” If you cannot get to it before the timer is out or it will put down its stubborn block feet and stay. Other ones include the triangle blox, which will clear the whole bottom row.
The cost of the game is 80 MS points or U.S. $1, which for the most part is a little much for the game. There are few sounds effects, no music, leaderboards and really not too much else is in this equation to have it value to $1. It does get a little more challenging when you are firing blocks and others keep dropping, but there are no achievements for multiple combos or advancing through higher stages.
It would be great to have this game v.s. a friend over Xbox LIVE, but no multiplayer is yet available.
