Conduit 2 Definitely lookin’ good
High Voltage and Wii are two combinations that are underappreciated. Well, at least I’m appreciating them! Today was a little hands-on for Conduit 2 and all there are to say are good things. From what the multi-player foretold Conduit 2 is going to be great.
One of the biggest things that we can expect for the online mode is the split screen and co-op. Players can enter into some split screen action or some multi-player online for a mode called “invasion.” From what I could gather, it is going to be similar to Gears of Wars’ horde in that enemies will be continuously coming your way. The good thing is that they will be dropping items, but the works on how random the item drops is still in the works.
Things that we can definitely count on are the weapon upgrades and variations. If you wanted a sniper rifle for Christmas, then you got it. In Conduit 2 there is a sniper rifle among other weapons that offer equally sweet options. Others have been included with iron sites as well. The improvements are impressive. For example, while shooting the sniper, you can zoom in as well as see heat through certain areas of the wall. With another gun, you can repeat push B, or hold it down to turn invisible. Holding this too long will cause the gun to freeze and have a little shake off. Also, the sniper rifle takes a little long to reload, but packs a punch. This is a great sign that balance and level design were something that was very well thought out.
Another well thought out and almost needed adaptations were the ability to sprint and provide custom loadouts. Sprint? Oh yeah! To top it off, the sprint feature works great. It does not interfere with any of the other motion going on. There is also an included target-lock-on feature that might assist you in this case either way. The suit load-outs are customizable and offer upgrades and variations. While one might make you slower in action, it may also provide you with armor that is more defensive.
Definitely keep posted for more information on Conduit 2 and The Grinder also from High Voltage.
