PAX 2009 – Day One!
For those of you who haven’t been to a PAX yet, you definitely want to GO. Just this morning, there’s been tons of awesome going on. Here are a couple things that I’ve seen and done so far:
- I got introduced to Privateer Press’ Tabletop games.
- Played Dante’s Inferno
- This game is pretty awesome. It reminds me of God of War with it’s gameplay, but it’s definitely awesome.
- Got to play Split Second
- It’s a Disney published game, but you couldn’t tell. BlackRock Studios, the minds behind PURE have put in work, and it’s definitely worthy. You can basically target cars with environmental attacks. You have regular and super attacks. Regular targets a car while super changes the track in the process of blowing other drivers to smithereens. Definitely awesome.
- Played Borderlands
- This is a FPS with RPG innards. I honestly didn’t want to leave the booth, but had to get around to check out other stuff – otherwise I’d have played Borderlands all day if they let me.
For an extra special treat, you can have a look at me trying to ride “Ruin” – the horse from Darksiders. That game’s pretty awesome as well!
I’ll keep you updated as it goes on!
