Metroid Trilogy Collector’s Edition
The Metroid Prime Trilogy debuted this week, not quite a new addition to the series, but nevertheless, more content added to those gamers out there sifting for Wii FPS’s. The Trilogy includes, Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, and the Wii title Metroid Prime Corruption. With added content and the series it might prove a satisfying buy for newbies and collectors.
The slew of other titles release with new Wii controls resemble this already over-killed process. Step 1: Release game, Step 2: Sell game, Step 3: Drop Price, Step 4: re-release on new console and sell more. It does grab those out there that never really had the opportunity to experience these titles released on the Nintendo Gamecube, which would have been great if the Nintendo Wii could have had some sort of backwards compatibility……wait? Anyways, Metroid is on its way to joining Pikmin, Pikmin 2, Mario Power Tennis, Resident Evil 4, and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat just to name a few.
A great thing would have been to package some sort of new accessory along with these new controls or even made it available for the Metroid Prime Trilogy release. :::Wii Motion Plus::: That would have not only given the Wii Motion Plus a little hummmmphhh it needed to be mainstreamed and accepted, but it would have made the trilogy a real deal! Long story short, they have all been awesome games, it belongs on any collectors shelf and fans of the series will definitely not be let down. It already has a space on mine!
