Unreal Tournament 3 Titan Pack Hits PS3s Today

Oh, it’s on for PlayStation 3 owners who have Unreal Tournament 3. Not only do they get a new update named the “Titan Pack”, they also get caught up on all the bug fixes that the PC version of the game got early this month.

Maps, gametypes, weapons, vehicles, power-ups, and just about everything under the sun are in this pack:

The Titan Pack’s downloadable content includes the gametypes Greed and Betrayal, the namesake Titan mutator, 19 maps, the Link Station and X-Ray Field deployables, the Stinger Turret and Eradicator Cannon weapons, the Stealthbender vehicle, the Slow Field power-up, and characters Kana and Nova.

That’s awesome, but it gets better. The title update features all the bug fixes and the updates mentioned above, combined with trophies and more:

UT3 players can already enjoy the title update portion of the Titan Pack for PS3, which incorporates a long list of enhancements, including split-screen support, an integrated mod browser, 57 Trophies, major visual and menu flow upgrades, significant A.I. improvements, overhauled networking performance, and better mod support.

Having played UT3 on the PS3, I can very quickly and honestly say that the integrated mod browser alone would’ve made a great update. The new split-screen, trophies, and everything else just makes this sound too good to be true!

Now, all that has to be done is figure out whether or not Xbox 360 owners will be receiving any of these updates – which doesn’t look all that likely to happen at this point, but we can all cross our fingers, right?
