Awesome, Capcom, Xbox 360

When Resident Evil brings collectibles to the party, it’s not in the mood to play.

How so? Well, it seems the good folks at Capcom are teaming up with Microsoft to take Resident EvilResident Evil reviewsResident Evil reviews to the next level: the Elite level. Not content to stop there, they even have a custom color for their zombie-killing console: Blood Red.

Major Nelson dished the first details on what the pack contains:

  • Xbox 360 Elite Console with Exclusive Red Finish
  • Matching red wireless controller
  • 120GB hard drive
  • Resident Evil 5
  • Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD RemixSuper Street Fighter II Turbo Hd Remix reviewsSuper Street Fighter II Turbo Hd Remix reviews
  • Exclusive Resident Evil Premium Theme
  • Xbox 360 black wired headset
  • HDTV-ready component HD AV, HDMI and Ethernet cables

So, for the same price as a regular Elite, you come away with a custom red Elite, Resident Evil 5Resident Evil 5 reviewsResident Evil 5 reviews, SSFII: HDR, and a Resident Evil Premium Theme.

Sounds good to me, but I can’t say I’m a fan of the color. It’s a bit too red for my tastes… I think it would’ve been a better idea to use the black and have the “5″ from the RE5 logo etched in – but that would take too much time/money for their purposes.

Anyways, here are a quick couple of images of the limited edition red beast and it’s packaging:

What do you think? Are you a collector? If you haven’t picked up a 360, but are a Resident Evil fan, would you pick one up now?

If it's the same price as a regular Elite, but you get all that!? It might just be time to upgrade my old 360...

Nice! Let me know if you pick it up, Mike. I'd have to pick up Resident Evil 5 and take on some zombies with you. :)
