I Am Alive First Details

I Am Alive was announced at E3 in trailer form and now details of the game are beginning to sprinkle out thanks to GamesTM. You play as Adam Collins after a earthquake destroys Chicago.

As Adam Collins you set out to find a your girlfriend in the choas and any other survivors in the city to get the attention of a mysterious government.

I Am Alive will be a first-person affair where combat isn’t what going to reward you most.

Confrontation is a way of dealing with violent groups, but will rarely be rewarded. We encourage the players to use tactics, diversion, and discretion. You’ve found a police shotgun, which is out of bullets — rightfully so, since Chicago has long been a proponent of a ban on guns. How about some intimidation? After all, who knows the gun is empty but you? Just point it at looters and they’ll remain at a distance as you progress toward your objective. However, you can only aim it at one person, so you have to watch for being flanked.

The main component of the game is survival so ammo will be scarce and things like water is the hot commodity.

Last thing to note is it was rumored that Jade Raymond was attached to the project but that is false.
