Team Fortress 2 on 360 Gets Update Soon!
There’s only one word to sum this update up: Awesome.
For the unaware, Team Fortress 2 on the 360 is a part of The Orange Box, which includes Half-Life 2, HL2: Episodes One and Two, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. We also had a bit of a crush on the amazing pack when we reviewed it – last October.
Well, the good news is that people still play it. It’s Valve’s for goodness’ sake – they make some of the best games in the industry.
The better news? Just about everything that the PC edition of Team Fortress 2 got over the past year will be updated on the Xbox 360 soon.
Don’t believe me? Check out the snippet from the official Team Fortress 2 website:
We are actively working on a massive XBox 360 update, which will include pretty much everything we’ve shipped on the PC in the last year. We’ll provide you with a rough date when we have one.
Talk about great justice. Here’s hoping that the update both spurs sales for the title and gets more people to experience the awesomeness that is The Orange Box. Seriously, it’s five great games packed on one disc! What more could you ask for, other than more timely updates?
It has been over a year since the title released on consoles… This could be just the thing The Orange Box needed. A good shot in the arm! Unfortunately, there’s also a possibility that this could be a paid pack which would dull my enthusiasm considerably for the update.
No word was given on a PS3 title update, or whether the update will contain fixes for other games in The Orange Box.
What do you think? Did they wait too long for the update? What kind of damage could it do if the update were part of a premium priced pack?
Also, Engineers are the man.
