Every Tag Tells A Tale…

“Every Tag Tells A Tale” is something that should be running around all gamers’ minds lately. Why is that, you ask? If you didn’t already know, you’re about to find out…

Earlier this week, a lot of community sites got an email with a picture of a real COG tag. The question of what this ‘tag’ meant (or where I could get one) crossed my mind a couple of times. For those that haven’t seen it around the net, here it is for your viewing pleasure:

Apparently, the COG had a link to a secret part of the Gears of War site…

If Found, Visit: GearsOfWar.com/lastday And Type in the code on the COG.

As for the code? It’s: 617461-ZMTDP-EL.

UPDATE: DeaconBlade of Unscripted 360 has received a COG tag, and announced the code: 519404-VQ180-AO. Deacon’s also posted pictures of the COG tag on his Flickr account, so have a look at some of those as well.

So now that you have the site and the code, the only thing to do is to check out the site, right? To enter the code, click the COG on the bottom. Once inside, you’ll be able to find all sorts of awesomeness, so keep your eyes peeled!

Many thanks go out to BreakingTheGame for posting this news first. I know lots of people around the ‘net were a bit confused about what’s going on with these COG tags, and it sure helped. I wouldn’t be surprised to see more COG tag numbers leaking out to the internet soon. At least I hope they do!

What are you still doing here? Get over there!
