New Xbox Experience Due In November
Rumors have been circulating across the internet as to when the New Xbox Experience, or NXE, will be dropping onto Xbox Live for months. Not too long ago, there was a rumor that it was going to arrive on September 25th, but that one proved unfruitful.
Recently, Major Nelson announced the downtime for Xbox Live beginning on Monday, September 29 (it starts at 12:01am Pacific Time), and added a note to the update:
This service maintenance is in preparation for the new Xbox experience which will be available later this fall.
Let me reiterate: When the service returns, you will not have any new features and you will not have the new Xbox experience update. That will happen later this Fall.
He squashed a rumor before it even started. You can’t get any better than that!
So when is it coming? I’d suggest checking out Xbox Live, as that’s where the answer hides! Apparently, the new Rock Band 2 advert has all the info you need…
Considering that all major Xbox updates have happened in November since the original Xbox, this isn’t too surprising. It makes the wait seem a bit longer, but not exactly surprising.
I still can’t wait to get hands on it!
