NBA LIVE 09 Synergy CEO Interview

If you’re a fan of the NBA LIVE series, you definitely want to check out the interview over at IGN. They talk with Garrick Barr, CEO of Synergy – the company providing the statistics for the new NBA LIVE 365 feature in NBA LIVE 09.

Here’s a snippet of the interview that gives a bit of detail as to what Synergy brings to the table:

We track it every day and we update it in real-time, so our reports tell you exactly what’s going on out on the floor, exactly who these players are, when they slump, when they break out, when they’re injured, how slowly they come back, how young players sort of find themselves, start to exert themselves and then become stars. All of that is reflected in our data in real time and that data we’ve provided to EA Sports to draw that data directly from us on a daily basis so that the artificial intelligence in the game is able to have the players behave precisely how they’re supposed to behave in real life in so many different aspects.

Sounds pretty sick! They provide the updated data for each player daily, but why talk about it when you can see for yourself, right? Check out the video:
