Games for Windows Live Free, New Marketplace Coming

With the advent of Steam, Impulse, and Greenhouse, it’s not very difficult to find a network of downloadable games that come with multiplayer attached – all for free. Therefore, it’s no surprise that after a long wait, Games for Windows Live is now free.

Not only is it free from here on out – Achievements, multiplayer, and cross-platform gaming with the 360 included – but titles already using the service are free to play online from this moment on.

You could be forgiven for thinking that’s all that’s in store, but there’s more! The Live Marketplace for PC is getting a redesign soon as well!
