Rock Band 2 Coming this fall for 360 & PS3

Just when you thought Rock Band wasn’t rock enough, they go and do this: they announce Rock Band 2!

They’re not just announcing a simple new disc though, there’s a list of improvements for the life of the party:

  • Upgraded Instruments
    The new instruments are said to be quieter, more realistic, and more reliable.
  • Cross-Title DLC
    You heard that right – downloaded songs can work on both Rock Band and Rock Band 2. That includes the new RB2 songs working on RB!
  • Third Party Instruments
    Harmonix are working with third party manufacturers to give the audience more selection with their instruments.
  • More Game Modes
    The new game is going to give you new mode, so there are more ways to experience music.

So you’ll be experiencing a lot of awesomeness come this fall when Rock Band 2 is released. PS3 owners will have to wait a bit though. Xbox 360 sees it’s release in September, with PS3 to follow “later this year.”
