It has been confirmed that trophy support is coming with firmware v2.40 and this could be what is something like a gamercard for the PS3. Someone sent these pictures in to PS3fanboy claiming them to be real pics of Sony’s trophy system.

As you can see there are different levels of trophies to obtain and one shows what could possibly be a gamer level of some kind. I can’t say if these are real or not but until Sony says otherwise this is a rumor for now.
