Final Fantasy Versus XIII Development Temporarily Halted

In the latest issue of Famitsu an interview with director of Final Fantasy Versus XIII Tetsuya Nomura stated that development for Versus XIII is temporarily on hold at the moment.

The decision was made so that they can assist the Final Fantasy XIII team since right now it is their number one priority. He does admit that there has been some trouble on development of the Fabula Nova Crystallis Compilation.

Although development is on hold at the moment for Versus XIII the designers and artists are still working on artwork and visuals for the game. The story for Versus XIII supposedly is already done.

I don’t see this as bad news at all, this just means the main Final Fantasy XIII will have more hands on it to make it a better game and release hopefully quicker as well.

Final Fantasy XIII is the reason some people bought a PS3 and if this is Square-Enix number one priority at the moment, I think it safe to say that XIII is going to be hit whenever it releases.
