Infinite Undiscovery Trailer 2
Square-Enix has announced today that tri-Ace’s Infinite Undiscovery will have release simultaneously worldwide September 2, 2008 for the Xbox 360.
The main premise behind the game is that every discovery you make has an instant impact on the world creating a unique experience for each player.
There will be Situational Battles where you will have to try different ways to defeat the enemy such as using a bow sniper or magic user to get the upper hand. Based on what you do the environments change and will offer something new.
You will also have to use sight, sound and smell when exploring the world the deeper you go as each act it becomes harder to survive. Everything happens in real time so combat, exploration and other actions seamlessly take place in the same environment.
I am looking forward to this game and I was surprised that it was coming out so soon and this fall where it will have plenty to compete with. The trailer has me a bit worried such as the horrible lip-syncing and unstable framerate but they have some time to iron that out.
Tri-Ace are known for their Star Ocean and Valkryia Profile series and they make good games but I hope they are not rushing this out door. Either way this should be another solid hit from them and then you can wait for the next big title which doesn’t have a platform or release date yet, Star Ocean 4.
