No New Portal This Year

Valve’s Doug Lombardi said that there will not be a new Portal this year. Valve intends to make the second one even better and memorable then the first.

In typical Valve tradition, it won’t be Portal with different colours.

I think that when you hit something like that, you have two choices: you can quickly replicate it and stick it out there – do the opportunistic thing and cash in on it – or you can do the crazy thing like we did after Half-Life was so successful and go off and try and say, ‘Okay, that was revolutionary, so its successor has to be equally as revolutionary.

I’m ashamed to say that I haven’t played Portal yet but I agree with Lombardi. There are plenty of games this year to play anyway so we will see Portal next year.

But I’m utilising Chromium on a machine running version 9.04 of Ubuntu and the search and feel aren’t pretty satisfying. Not a powerful deal, I can still essentially study the articles and search for info, but just desired to inform you about that. The navigation bar is type of challenging to use with the config I’m running. Maintain up the superb work!
