Playstation Home Delayed Again

Playstation Home is quite the ambitious project for Sony and until it is right Sony has decided to delay Home again.

Kaz Hirai said:

We understand that we are asking PS3 and prospective PS3 users to wait a bit longer, but we have come to the conclusion that we need more time to refine the service to ensure a more focused gaming entertainment experience than what it is today.

Our overarching objective is to provide users with new gaming experiences that are available only on PlayStation Home.

Spending more time on the development and on the closed beta testing reaffirms our commitment to bringing a quality service, maintaining the PlayStation tradition.

Good news is that they are extending the closed beta throughout the summer with the open beta to start around fall.

I do hope that Home will launch before the year is out but I think the delay can only be beneficial for service like Home. Its better then Sony rushing Home at door and we end up getting a broken service.
