I agree. Though my beef with DLC most dont consider the norm. I am really very tired of games (battlefield bad company, call of duty world at war, ect.) offering weapons to you if you spend more money. Get the limited edition and we will unlock a gun for you that you would normally just have to wait for. Get the limited edition and this weekend you can use that "special" gun to get double the xp. To hell with that I say! How about this devs. A T-shirt, a sound track, a cool key chain, a hat, an art book. Something, anything thats actually worth a crap. How about a weapon that only comes with the limited edition? Not a game breaking BFG 2000, just something that stands out from what everyone else can get. Considering the price difference is about 15 bucks higher for the limited edition I expect to get something thats worth at least that much. So far it hasnt happened. AND STOP WITH GOLD WEAPONS ALREADY!

Right on Deejay. "The worst offenders of the transaction madness have content ready for download within a week of the game hitting store shelves. It doesn’t seem all that bad until you think about how long certification takes. That means the fresh DLC could likely have been on the game disc, but was purposely held back to make more money off of the downloads." Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight... The only things I've ever prurchased of the marketplace for less than 80 MSP was 3 picture packs. 2 were the U360 picture packs while the other one was the HAWX picture pack that was just released. If microsoft charged something like 5 or 10 MSP per picture, I'd be a lot more willing to get some of the premium ones. But that just won't happen because Microsoft is trying to gouge us for our money. How much will the clothing for Avatars cost? I can easily expect like 60-100 MSP for each shirt, pant, or hat...and then something like half that for face stuff like eyes, mouth, nose... You know what? If they dropped those prices to a tenth of that, i'm sure they'd have more than 10 times the sales. If something is 5 of 10 MSP, you wouldn't even really think about buying it...you'd just get it. And that way, a purchase of 800 MSP would go a LONG way.

Truly well said.

It is strange indeed how $60 doesn't purchase a complete game anymore. In our gaming world today, $60 titles get released with bugs and withheld content. It's disheartening. It wasn't long ago that games were $50, and not long before that $40. I bet it won't be more than 6 months before a $70 console title comes out, and it won't be a finished product either.

Gaming is only for the rich these days.
