What Home Has In Store For Uncharted, Resistance & Warhawk
If every game released has this kind of support for Sony’s Home, this could be really big. Kotaku has learned of three games that will use Home to its advantage and I hope other developers follow these examples.
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune will allow your Home avatar to explore the game’s levels at your leisure. Better yet Uncharted will come with a side-scrolling 2D arcade game which was described to them as cross between Contra and Out Of This World.
Resistance: Fall of Man will let you use Home to explore unseen areas of the game and receive bonus content in the form of “intercepted“ radio communications between the European and U.S force to provide more story for the game. You will also be able to use your Home avatar to walk around the game’s levels.
Warhawk has to be the most impressive support for Home. The Home lobby for Warhawk will serve as a “war room“ where up to eight players can meet and talk up battle plans before the match.
Within the war room there will be a 3D “sand table” of the upcoming battlefield. You can place army pieces on the board to form things like formations you would use or where the enemy would be. The war room can also be used to launch games as well.
This kind of support is an example of what Home can bring and that’s what has me excited for Home. In the end its up to the developers but I hope this support for games Home becomes standard.
