GDC 2008: PC Gaming Alliance Announced

Several PC companies have come together to form the PC Gaming Alliance. The companies include Intel, Nvidia, AMD/ATi, Microsoft, Alienware, Dell, ACER and Gateway. Publishers like Epic and Activision have joined as well.

Intel’s Randy Stude will lead the group and this is what he had to say:

One of our main major objectives is to provide one voice on PC gaming market. There’s no one source that says ‘hey this is where the PC market is going’. Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft are always calling their market share – we’re going to call our market through this group.

This will surely boost PC gaming since it in kind of a rut right now. Time will only tell if they can make a difference for the PC market.
