GDC 2008: Mova Demonstrates Its Motion Capture System

Now this is really impressive. Mova unveiled their Contour Reality Capture system using the Unreal Engine 3.

The Contour Reality Capture system uses an array of cameras to create 100,000 polygon facial models that are supposed to be accurate to within a tenth of a milimeter. There are no balls or dots that other motion captures usually use.

This can be used for games and this brings motion capture to another level. The videos below demonstrate just what it is capable of using the Unreal Engine 3. This really is amazing stuff.
