New Xbox Live In The Works?

A job posting on Microsoft careers site is looking for someone to fill the role of a program manager for the Xbox department. Nothing out of the ordinary but the actual posting is what sparks interest.

Want to be involved in the next release of Xbox? Join the server-backed games team, part of the Xbox Live team that’s responsible for creating a completely new way for mainstream audiences to enjoy the Xbox and Live.

We’re building the games, the console interface and logic, and the server support for a totally new Live experience. Both the games and the dashboard experience will be deeply paired with dynamic server support to create a compelling, fresh scenario each time.

We are looking for a passionate games producer to help implement our first generation games that will run in this new environment.

Sounds interesting right? The only thing to worry about is that in the first sentence is says the next Xbox which isn’t going to help rumors that a new Xbox to succeed the 360 is coming faster then we want it too.

Other then that I can’t wait to see the next step in Xbox Live. What are you thoughts on the matter feel free to chime in.
