The Dreaded RRoD Strikes Again

And this time, a bit closer to home. Today, after attempting a match of Call of Duty 4, my Xbox 360 died.
I wasn’t aware immediately, so I restarted and popped in Fifa Street 3 hoping not to suck as bad as I had previously. Seriously, my Fifa Street 3 game is lacking – practice should be an easy way to fix that, right? Unfortunately, it was not to be so.
Before I could close the drive, I saw them. The dreaded Red Rings of Death.
My Xbox 360’s coffin is en route and should be here within five business days. Repair is said to take two to three weeks. So at best, I’m due to not have any 360 gaming for a month.
It’s funny because I talked to a three die-hard Xbox 360 gamers within the past week who have had RRoD within the same week. It’s almost like a rite of passage for the 360 at this point because it seems that if you have a 360, you know someone who’s received the red rings.
I hope it gets replaced with one of the newer 360s with the Falcon chipset. That would rock hard.
