Metal Gear Solid 4 Not Slipping Out of Q2

I can save you!

Never fear, Metal Gear Solid IV fans! Word around the campfire is that not only is the next chapter in the Metal Gear saga still set for release in Q2, but it’s nearly in bug testing!

Can’t get much better an announcement than that, can you? Check the deets

Ryan Payton (the game’s Assistant Producer) lets us in on some titibits on MGS4’s release date. There is no set date for release, since conversations are still continuing between Kojima and marketing, but they are definitely concentrating on Q2 of this year. Yes, you heard it here first; the title is not going to slip.

The whole team and Kojima himself are committed to Q2 2008. Ryan even tells us that Kojima was embarrassed by the slip to 2008 and that he doesn’t want to further delay the game.

When the man in charge is embarrassed by a game’s release date, you can rest assured he’ll do what it takes to get it taken care of. And we’re not talking about just any old producer here..

Apparently, since the game is near the bug testing phase, all the features in the final game are very likely in place.

I can’t wait! Is anyone else’s anticipation for this game through the roof?
