New Street Fighter 4 Details

With 1up getting first dibs on everything Street Fighter 4 right now I’ll summarize a bit on some the new stuff they revealed for STIV. If you want whole rundown you should  jump over to 1up, they are very pleased with the game so far.

Street Fighter III Parry system is gone and it’s getting replaced by something called the Saving system. The Saving system includes the Revenge gauge which is the new special gauge divided into four sections.

Making its first appearance as well is the Ultra combos. While the game is strictly 2D fighting Ultra combos shift into a 3D cinematic when you launch an Ultra combo.

Street Fighter IV is going to be huge and it might just bring back 2D fighters to the forefront again. Still no word on what platforms SFIV will launch on but Xbox 360 and PS3 are the most likely.
