Eidos Opens Montreal Studio & Announces Deus Ex 3

Remember Deus Ex 2? I know I can’t be the only one who gave it a whirl back in 2003 when it released, so I can’t be alone in being intrigued that Eidos has announced Deus Ex 3:

Developer-publisher Eidos has revealed that its new studio in Montreal, Québec, first announced earlier this year, has opened its doors to the public, and the company is inaugurating the facility with the announcement of its first project: a third installment of the futuristic first person-shooter/RPG Deus Ex.

A new studio and a new Warren Spector-less Deus Ex? Color me intrigued because of the strength of the series thus far, but I’m not sure what to think of that.

Whatever producer gets selected for the job has fairly massive shoes to fill, but could that be just what the series needs? We’ll find out as more information comes to surface about the title.

Currently, since no platform has been announced, we’re guessing on a PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 release. Take that with a grain of salt though!
