The Orange Box (Xbox 360): Review

Overall

All in all, I have to give The Orange Box a fully earned “Buy” rating if you’ve even remotely enjoyed a first-person shooter. Ever.

It’s being called the deal of a lifetime because it is. Half-Life 2 is an amazingly told story that is only enhanced by the inclusion of Episodes One and Two and, quite frankly, could sell on it’s own for the price. If you buy them alone on Steam, you’ll be paying $60 for just HL2 and the Episodes, Portal would be $20 on it’s own, and Team Fortress 2 would be $30. That comes out to $110 before taxes, so The Orange Box is quite likely one of the best deals you’ll find in gaming.

Considering the fact that it’s also a package of the most critically acclaimed titles you can find for the PC or consoles, and you have a recipe for a mandatory purchase if ever there was one.
