Army of Two Delayed Until Spring 08
Army of Two, the next gen co-op shooter from Electronic Arts, has been delayed until spring 2008. The crazy thing is, that for the first time in ages, gamers are likely happy about the delay.
Here’s an excerpt from the article that originated at Reuters :
Electronic Arts Inc, the world’s biggest video game publisher, said on Monday it will delay “Army of Two” to early next year, saying it needed more time to polish the military combat game.
“Army of Two”, in which players play as one of a pair of mercenaries carrying out missions, was originally slated to be released on November 13 for Microsoft Corp’s Xbox 360 and Sony Corp’s PlayStation 3 consoles.
This delay is one of a handful of games that have been delayed to next year, all needing a bit more time in the oven. Not many gamers are all that upset though, because of the mass of games that publishers are pushing for the holiday season.
Personally? As much as I want to play Army of Two (seriously, online co-op is good co-op), I can’t deny being a bit relieved that I might actually have time to enjoy some of the other games this season that I already own and others that have yet to release. On top of that, it leaves my wallet happy. I don’t have to worry about picking it up as a Christmas gift to myself!Am I the only one that sees it this way? What are some of your opinions as to the delay?
