Fifa 08 - PS2 & PC
When the time came for the PS2 and PC versions of the game, we talked to Paul Hossack and Marcel Kuhn, Line Producer and Gameplay Producer respectively.

The core ideas behind Fifa 08 for the PS2/PC were gameplay and providing a different way for people to play together, and it shows. There’s a deeper control set and a bit more personality to some of the teams and players.
One of the new control additions is the option to freeze the camera in corners or free kicks when playing multiplayer on the same console. The rumble will let you know which direction you’re aiming, so you can get the one-up on local rivalries.

Also, when on defense, the team added in right stick switching, so you can use the right stick in addition to the L1/LB button when selecting players. This feature also made it to the next-gen editions.
This version of the game seems a slight bit faster than the next-gen editions, but even with it’s slight speed advantage, it doesn’t feel vastly different from the next-gen offerings. The only control difference is that the PS2/PC editions feature slightly different controls, which will take a bit to get used to once you make the switch.
