Warhawk FAQ Goes Live

There have been a ton of questions I needed answered about Warhawk since watching my first video of it, and it seems a lot of those questions have been answered. If you drop by the PlayStation Blog, you’ll find a Warhawk FAQ.

Here are a couple of the questions I was looking forward to finding information about:

Warhawk Dog Fight!

QUESTION: Will there be downloadable content in the future?

ANSWER: The technology behind Warhawk was designed from the ground up with expandability in mind – very “data-drive” for those uber-tech enthusiasts. We have nothing to announce right now, but rest assured that if the player-community wants new content, we’ll be developing it!

QUESTION: If I buy the retail version, do I have to have the Blu-ray in my PS3 to run Warhawk?

ANSWER: Yes. “Reluctant Hero” asked about this Wednesday, but sorry man. But hey, one of the many advantages of the BD is that when you power-up your PS3 you can boot directly into the game.

I’ve been waiting for some of these questions for quite some time, so it’s good to see them answered before the game’s release. Warhawk has a good chance of selling PlayStation 3s if the multiplayer is as great as it’s been portrayed as.
I can’t help but be a bit disappointed by the fact that purchasing the Blu-Ray copy of the game limits you to playing with the disc exclusively though, but it’s a trivial thing to be upset with.
This game gives me plenty of “I’m so awesome, I’ll steal all of your free time” vibes, so expect to see me online quite a bit with this one!

Anyone else out there plan on getting Warhawk?
