Confirmed: Halo 3 4-Player Co-Op

It’s what Halo fans have been hoping for since the original and definitely since Halo 2, but word around the internet campfire is that Bungie has confirmed 4-Player Co-Op over Xbox Live for Halo 3.

Halo 3 - Master Chief

Yes, you heard that right. Four players over Xbox Live. InsideGamer had the original scoop — here’s a rough translation from the thread in NeoGAF:

Microsoft and Bungie confirmed at a pressconference in, thats right, Amsterdam, that Halo 3 is playable via xbox live with four people at a time. That way four players can compete via xbox live with eachother or against eachother. With Halo 2 this was possible with only two players.

On top of all the hoopla, Bungie’s own Luke Smith chimed in with a post on the forum with a single word: “Believe.”

With all that, I plan to see you all over Xbox Live in an enjoyable Halo 3 Co-Op experience come September!
