Those following White Knight Story have been at a loss of info since last year’s Tokyo Game Show. Consider that changed.
Not only was it displayed today, it was playable.
Level 5 CEO Akihiro Hino not only brought a playable version of the game to Sony’s PlayStation Premier press conference in Tokyo, he played it before the press with a bit of info previously unknown. Character customization is in the game, and it’s deep.

He started the demo showing off the previously unseen character creation system. The system is apparently detailed enough that they created both the main characters and nearly 1000 NPC characters.
Needless to say, this game just stepped up a bit in my priority list. The only RPG in recent memory that allowed character creation was the Knights of the Old Republic series, and that series won major points for me for that simple fact.
Considering the fact that Level 5 has produced some of the better RPGs of the last generation, this is simply more icing on the cake for me. TGS can’t come soon enough!
