E3 2007: Nintendo Press Conference

Since I didn’t get the chance to blog the entire conference, I thought I’d showcase all the biggest Nintendo news in one place!

It seems those waiting for their next Super Mario World fix won’t be waiting for long, as Super Mario Galaxy drops to retail on November 12, 2007.

Next up, not only was MarioKart announced for the Wii, it’s online-enabled, has a larger number of characters, and it comes with a new Nintendo peripheral: the Wii Wheel. The Wii Wheel is supposed to level the field for veterans and rookies alike, something i’m sure will happen due to the new control scheme.

On top of that, the Wii Zapper was announced:

Wii Zapper

The Wii Zapper already has third-party titles in development for the it like Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Ghost Squad and Medal of Honor. And since Nintendo doesn’t release an attachment without first party support, you can bet that they’re working on something to work with the Mii system!

Super Smash Brothers Brawl arrives to retail on December 3rd 2007!

Super Smash Brothers Brawl

I know many a person that, if nothing else, they’ll be buying Super Smash Bros. Brawl on launch day. Even if they have to wait outside for a couple hours to do so, they will.

I’ll have to remind myself never to challenge any of them to a match…
And, finally, we come to Wii Fit:

Wii Fit

Wii Fit is an a workout game that features aerobics, yoga, stretching, and over 40 mini-games related to a healthy lifestyle. It comes with a new piece of equipment, the Wii Balance Board, that will not only power Wii Fit, but eventually other games as well.

Well, that’s not quite everything in Nintendo’s E3 Press Conference, but it’s the biggest news I can find. If you know of anything I missed, please feel free to remind me!

Is there anything you’ve seen so far that sells you on a Wii if you haven’t bought one already? How do you think the Nintendo Conference went? Inquiring minds want to know…

And thanks to Joystiq/Engadget for the images.
