145 PS3 games for the US by March

Yesterday we posted here that Sony promised 380 games for the PS3 within the fiscal year ending by March 2008. It has been clarified that at 145 titles are on the way to the US which are about 40 PSN games and 105 boxed games.

According to an SCEA spokesman, Hirai was citing international figures. They also say that 15 of the games are first-party games.

This makes a lot more sense and seems alot easy to accomplish then before. Still the proof is in the putting but like I said in my comment I don’t think they would have made such a claim if they couldn’t back it up. Hopefully they at least get close to the amount of games they want to put out.

@ Eric if you meant first-party

Lair, Killzone 2, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Warhawk, SOCOM, Rachet and Clank, White Knight Story(not to sure on that one).

Thats all I can think of from memory. Fall going to be great for 360/PS3.

out of all the games being released though i wonder which one will have the most pull on the ps3 market. because i mean not every game being released is going to be stellar. i think that Lair will have a huge pull, so will socom for the more FPS/militaristic gamers. i wish they would do a PS3 version of God of War(pretty much what Heavenly Sword looks like). other than that i cant really see too many games that a really going to have a big calling for people to buy them.

so, yea they are producing, but what about quality? Red flag?

I think if any game is going to bring in more people its going to have to be Killzone 2. I singled that out because with the footage they showed at that E3 and Sony saying its going to look like that trailer Killzone 2 must deliver.

Other then that I think Sony’s lineup has something for all people even if they are just o.k. There is enough of a variety to bring people in.
