Forza Motorsport 2
Remember how awesome the Forza 2 demo was? Multiply that times at least 5. The design creator tool is a bit easier to use, and I made a GAMINGtruth car within minutes. Unfortunately, I’d all but forgotten about my camera phone and have no actual camera, but some of the other attendees can attest to the awesomeness of it!
Shadowrun
Having been in the Beta, I didn’t play Shadowrun at the event. It’s a pretty solid and fun shooter, and the chance to play against PC players has me highly intrigued. It seemed that the other gamers were enjoying it as well.
Unnamed FPS
The FPS that will go unnamed was awesome. I think that’s even more than I’m allowed to say, but you can bet that I’ll end up getting it! (Don’t worry - when I can talk about it, I will!)
Project Sylpheed
Didn’t get to play this one either, but again - what I saw, I liked.
Mad Tracks
Multiplayer craziness with remote controlled cars and weapons that reminds me a lot of Re-Volt. I didn’t get to play it alone, but splitscreen multiplayer was pretty fun.
Carcassonne
This has to be the best tabletop-turn-strategy-game since Catan. That’s saying a lot since I highly enjoy a good game of Catan over XBL - it has to be my favorite Xbox Live Arcade game to date, so Carcassonne coming within the realm of that and making me want to add more MS Points just for this game says tons.
Not to mention that when we played 4-player locally, I dominated! In all fairness, though, I had done the tutorial earlier in the evening and was explaining the game’s intricacies as we played. For them to score as well as they did when I had already played was impressive.
Track & Field
I got to watch a couple heated matches, and it looks like it’s still the fun button-masher it has been for years.

I did mention that this event was awesome, right? Well, if you still don’t believe me, here goes a video taken by Godfree of Gamertag Radio:

I can’t thank the team over at Gamerscore Blog enough. Bastelyon, CPaladino, stalalem, and DirtyDiva threw an awesome party and I’m grateful to have been invited. I also want to say thank you to the other community members that were in attendance. It’s awesome to have been so well-recieved, and I hope to hear more from you soon.
Thanks again, Team GSB. I hope to be invited to the next one!
