Halo 3 Beta / Crackdown Problem Found and Being Fixed

It’s been a very long day for some, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel. The problem with the Halo 3 Beta / Crackdown issue has been found!

We’re happy to finally announce that the issues being faced with the Halo 3 beta and Crackdown will be resolved shortly. The Microsoft team has found a solution and it’s undergoing final testing now.

Assuming the test pass goes according to plan, the fix will come in the form of a Crackdown title update within the next three to six hours.

We understand many of you were eagerly awaiting your chance to jump into the Halo 3 Beta and this technical issue has put a damper on your plans. Thankfully the fix is incoming and we’re sincerely sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. Ultimately we hope this will all soon be a distant memory once you pick up the Spartan Laser, launch yourself from a Mancannon and enjoy online shenanigans with your friends.

As a reminder, people who already have the Halo 3 Beta are unaffected by this issue. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we have more information.

Hopefully that helps, and chances are that it will. Most upset fans were just annoyed by the fact that there were no updates as the day went on.

  4. This is obtaining a bit more subjective, but I much choose the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has a lot more flair, and some cool functions like ‘Mixview’ that let you speedily see associated albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on 1 of individuals will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will arrive into view, allowing you to navigate close to exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” can be excellent fun, letting you discover others with shared tastes and becoming buddies with them. You then can listen to some playlist created depending on an amalgamation of what all your buddies are listening to, which can be enjoyable. Individuals concerned with privacy is going to be relieved to know it is possible to avoid the public from seeing your individual listening habits should you so decide on.
