GRAW 2 Throwback Pack on XBL

I hope I’m not alone in this, but I tend to get a bit nostalgic when playing in a good match of Ghost Recon. Sometimes I reminisce about the awesome maps I used to play in past GR games — and what I would do if ever given the chance to revisit those maps in the new game.
Apparently, UbiSoft knows what I’ve been thinking. Meet the GRAW2 Throwback Pack…
- Name:
- GRAW2 Throwback Pack
- Price:
- 800 Points
- Availability:
- All Xbox Live regions
- Dash Details:
- Play 7 of your favorite Ghost Recon maps re-mastered.
The maps are as follows:
- Bonfires from GR2
- Desert Gulch from GRAW
- Fishing Village from GRAW
- Jungle Mines from GRAW
- Mountain Base from GR2SS
- Mountain Falls from GR2
- and Peninsula from GR2
Now I’m not sure whether to be happy or sad about this map pack. As much as I love those maps - they’re a mixture of maps from Ghost Recon, GR: Summit Strike, and GRAW - I don’t know if I want to spend 800 Points ($10) on them. I love the fact that they’re cheaper than the current “200 Points/Map” pricing scheme, but another $10 for a game I already spent $60 on is a little tough to swallow.
Maybe it wouldn’t bother me too much if I played GRAW2 every day and got more playtime out of it, but I haven’t completed the campaign - let alone play a decent amount of multiplayer.
The fact that these maps are quite literally a steal as far as Xbox Live pricing standards goes (which shows that the powers that be are at least paying attention to gamers’ wishes) intrigues me highly, but I think I’ll hold off until I get deeper into the multiplayer aspect of the game before I get this pack.
Besides, I have to fill my summer months with a good shooter to tide me over until H3 hits this fall!
