PS3 firmware updated to 1.70

Another firmware update and this one is includes some key features to make your PS3 worthwhile.

PS1 games from the Playstation store can finally be played on your PS3. (Yay!)

Saves from the PS3 can be used on the PSP (PS1 saves)

Vibration support has been added for PS1 and PS2 games via the PS3.

These are the main features right now. Sony hasn’t updated their web page yet so this is that I can really say right now. Small things that have been picked up though are the date and time now appears under games and videos you download to the PS3. Also it seems that a few of the PS1 titles will only be playable on the PS3 for the time being and we don’t know what games can be played on both PSP and PS3 at this time. PS3 ready downloads will start 4/26.

Rumble support is slowly being reintroduced back to the PS3. Though its sad that most PS1 games can’t be played at the moment but next week everything should be ready to go.
